Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q) is a branch of Weill Cornell Medicine of Cornell University, established on April 9, 2001 following an agreement between Cornell University and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar is the first medical school in Qatar offering an integrated program of preliminary, pre-medical and medical studies leading to a Cornell MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree, which takes approximately six years to complete. The tuition fee for the medical costs over $55,000 a year excluding the living costs. A specialized Summer Research Program offered by the college allows students to spend time at the USA campus and work under Cornell and Weill Cornell mentors.
